SCRIPTURE: What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20.
3 John Verse 2 reveals that Divine health is our portion and inheritance in God.
Now, a major basis for us as living saints to walk in divine health is our body being the temple of the Holy Spirit.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 says,
What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.
You see, your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost, and you are to use it to glorify God. And of course, you cannot glorify God with affliction; you don’t glorify God with infirmity and calamity. Rather, you glorify God with your healthy body which belongs to Him.
Also, 2 Corinthians 6:16 says,
And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
The body of the child of God is the temple of the Spirit of God, specially purchased with the Blood of Jesus Christ. It has no vacancy for strangers and afflictions.
As a child of God, your body does not belong to you; the Holy Spirit owns it and lives there because you were fully purchased and paid for with the Blood of Jesus Christ. God did not use the devil’s money to purchase you. He doesn’t maintain a joint ownership of you with the devil, and so the devil has no claim over your life.
You know, some people can contribute money to rent a house and live in it together; that was not what God did with the devil to own you. God owns you completely and exclusively. And when you know that God owns you completely, you don’t allow any stranger to occupy your body.
Therefore, refuse to admit and accommodate strange sickness or affliction in your body.
Always know that God owns you completely; allow Him to fully exercise His right of ownership over your life.
Refuse to allow any sickness or affliction to take possession of your body.
PRAYER: Thank You Lord for making me to realize that You own me completely. I refuse to admit and accommodate any sickness, disease or affliction in my body, in Jesus’ Name.
