SCRIPTURE: While I live will I praise the Lord: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being. PSALMS 146:1.

Our anchor Scripture clearly reveals that our assignment or purpose on earth is to praise God.

Now, if our assignment and purpose on earth is to praise and worship, then it is good to live a lifestyle of praise. That is, a lifestyle that makes people naturally praise God.

To praise God is to live, and the refusal to praise God is to stop living. If you don’t praise God, you are telling God that you are not permitted to live.

We understand from our anchor Scripture that for David, his primary purpose was worship, and his secondary purpose was kingship.
That means, if you would fulfill your primary purpose of praise and worship to God, you would not struggle to fulfill your secondary purposes in life.

What then is Praise?
It is the celebration of the Nature of God.

Our God is a Holy God. Holy is the Lord God Almighty and the whole earth is filled with His praise.

When God puts you on a bicycle, you can overtake an aircraft. He is the very present Help in times of trouble. You know, there are people who are present but cannot help, and there are others who can help, but are not present. Not only is God able to help; He is also present in times of need.

When you praise God, He steps into the midst of the praise to prove Himself in your life. When you praise God, He shows that He is the Consuming fire, the Ancient of days. When you praise God even in the midst of the challenges of life, He will show up to prove that He is older than those challenges of your life.

Beloved, make up your mind to praise God. When you praise God genuinely, He will show forth to manifest His personality in your life. Therefore Make up your mind to live a lifestyle of praise and worship with your mouth and with your conduct.
Make the worship of God a consistent and permanent practice in your life so you can experience His Power.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask for the grace to live a lifestyle of praise and worship. Let my life give glory to You, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
