SCRIPTURE: Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.
Psalms 107:17.
Our anchor Scripture makes it clear that transgression is a magnet of affliction. This means, affliction travels in the direction of transgression.
Satan uses the guilt of sin to afflict people.
Proverbs 5:22 says,
His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sins.
There is a cord of sin. Sin has chains. Sin chains the sinner’s life. Sin chains the sinner’s destiny. Iniquity can kill a person before his/her time.
Psalms 107:17 says,
Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.
So, fools, because of their transgressions, iniquities, and sins are afflicted. Transgression is a magnet of affliction.
Psalms 119:67 says,
Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word.
So, whenever the enemy invites you into transgression, he is preparing you for affliction. One of the things the devil uses to tamper with peoples healing is telling them, “You are a sinner. God cannot heal you” And he begins to remind them of many things they have done wrong.
Psalms 103:1-3 says,
Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases.
To break the back of the devil, go to God in total repentance and say, “O Lord, that sin the devil is reminding me of, I am sorry and I ask for mercy. I ask for the cleansing of my conscience. I receive forgiveness from You Lord, in Jesus’ Name’’.
When you do this, God will forgive you, and if there is any sickness in your life, you will be healed. And then refuse to live in habitual sin.
Beloved, By all means, refuse and reject sin and all appearances of evil.
Ask God for the grace to maintain a clean and clear conscience always.
PRAYER: Lord, I ask that You deliver me from the trap of sin and guilt. I ask that You help me to maintain a clear Pconscience always in Jesus’ Name.
